MEET ÖTZI
THE STORY OF ÖTZI

Ötzi is a glacier mummy from the Copper Age, who, thanks to extraordinary circumstances, has been preserved down to the present day. Little by little, he has imparted genuine stores of knowledge since his discovery in 1991.
Otzi, also called the Iceman lived around 3000 BC in the Otztal Alps. His remains were discovered by a mountaineer in 1991 at the border between Austria and Italy. He almost certainly died from exposure during a winter storm.
His body was so well preserved in the clear glacial ice, he put the Egyptian mummies to shame. Even his tattoos were still clearly visible.

OTZI'S LEGACY
Rumor has it, Otzi loved the clean glacial air and ice. We have always loved Otzi’s story and we are passionate about our own ice so it was only logical we combined the two.
We think if The Iceman saw our ice, he would have a stiff drink or two with us to remember his epic days in the Alps.

Generally speaking it melts 4 times slower than regular ice. The actual melting time depends on a variety of factors including ambient temperature, drink temperature etc. As a rule of thumb it should last 60-90 minutes, so enough for 2-3 drinks.
Our ice tastes of pure clean water, nothing else. It gets stored in a sealed tray inside a dedicated ice freezer until delivery with close attention to the cold chain and stringent quality assurance processes.
I’m glad you asked, now this is exciting. Our specialized ice equipment works on the principle of directional freezing. Similarly, to the phenomenon of a natural lake or river freezing crystal clear “top down” in sub-zero temperatures, our ice freezes “bottom up”, pushing impurities and tiny bubbles to the top. The result is crystal clear ice.
Being slow melt it can certainly be used for multiple drinks. At least 2, if not 3. Said that we should all drink responsibly.
